1 Corinthians 10:11-12 “…happened unto them for ensembles…written for our admonition upon whom the ends of the world are come.”
We find ourselves in a very solemn time and place. The world as we knew it just a few weeks ago is no more. We are in a state of flux and transition that will bring new challenges, less resources and less freedoms. But strangely, or maybe not so strangely, we find ourselves in the most advantageous position we might have ever been. While we know what is coming, we don’t know exactly how long it is going to take to get there. However, make no mistake, we should know that “it is near, even at the door.”
God is His mercy has given us a heads up on where we are now and where we are heading. Like any good pilot, He has let us know that there will be turbulence on the journey. He has shown us in signs and symbols, through patriarchs and prophets and through the history of nations that what we would experience, although very VERY turbulent, would not bring down the plane, neither is it unique to this time. The intensity may be different, but experience is not.
Because we are on this plane, we should know this! Not just for ourselves but for all those who are on it with us who are fearful and for all those who will get on the plane when it makes its scheduled stops at designated way-marks.
Meditate: The history which the great I AM has marked out in His word, uniting link after link in the prophetic chain, from eternity in the past to eternity in the future, tells us where we are today in the procession of the ages, and what may be expected in the time to come. All that prophecy has foretold as coming to pass, until the present time, has been traced on the pages of history, and we may be assured that all which is yet to come will be fulfilled in its order. ED 178.3
While the turbulent events and circumstances batter us on this journey, those that understand why the turbulence is happening have a duty and a responsibility to present things in their proper light. We are to:
Meditate: The Lord has made us the depositaries (place of storage) of His law; He has committed to us sacred and eternal truth, which is to be given to others in faithful warnings, reproofs, and encouragement. By means of railroads *(Technology)* and steamboat lines *(Social Media Platforms)* we are connected with every part of the world and given access to every nation with our message of truth. Let us sow the seed of gospel truth beside all waters; for we know not which shall prosper, this or that, or whether both shall be alike fruitful. Paul may plant, and Apollos water; but it is God who giveth the increase. 5T 381.1
Esther, providentially (fortunate through God) found herself in a place and position where she had the best opportunity to influence the destiny of lives and nations. We, providentially, find ourselves in a place and a position where we can influence the destiny of many people across many nations.
Meditate: The greatest wealth of truth ever entrusted to mortals, the most solemn and fearful warnings ever sent by God to man, have been committed to them to be given to the world; and in the accomplishment of this work our publishing houses *(Zoom, Facebook pages, Instagram feeds, Twitter accounts, WhatsApp messages and other social media platforms)* are among the most effective agencies. The publications *(Meetings, Links, Stories, Tweets, Shares and Forwards)* sent forth from our printing houses are to prepare a people to meet God. CCh 72.1
I want to encourage us that we are in this world, at this precise and opportune moment, (to make an impact in aid of the gospel) with the gifts, talents, social circles, influence and technologies “for such a time as this.”
