Luke 21:25-28 “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth:for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh
Luke 21:33-36 Heaven and earth shall pass away:but my words shall not pass away.
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
I don’t have to stress through this blog that all that Christ said would happen before he returns as a sign has almost all come to pass. Christ speaks clearly of the signs to guide and warn his people to be ready at all times. Never before in history have we had so much evidence that God is a promise keeper than In the last 250 years. Ever since May 19, 1780 when the first Dark day occurred and where the moon appeared as Blood (similar signs will keep on happening) Or November 13th, 1833 when over 200,000 shooting stars fell for over 4 hours across earth both events was mentioned in Joel 2:31, Matthew 24:29 and Revelation 6:12 as last day events.
Not to mention the signs of Revelation 14, signalling the fallen state of Babylon, the nearness of the establishment of the Mark of the beast. The unparalleled fires in California and Australia in 2019. The global pandemic since March 2020. This in our generation is the biggest pestilence sign we have ever witnessed.
The social unrest since 2008 financial crash has seen many governments toppled in the East and 2020 found the world outraged with death of George Floyd resulting in the BLM movements and protests globally. This is nations rising up in perplexities.
The church is in a luke warm state as in Revelation 3.
God has been revealing himself through the unveiling and realising of dozens of prophecies. There is not much left to happen. In Revelations there are 7 seals. We are halfway through the sixth seal. The seventh Seal is when Christ bursts through the clouds. Yet as Christ speaks of these end times he cautions his people not to be distracted by the trappings of this life
From the need to explore illegal raves in 2020 lockdown, to wild tinder dates and tiktok videos, working, entertaining yourself so hard that there is no separation between you and the world.. Only sitting watching YouTube or Zoom church services once a week representing the sum total of your new Christian experience is a sign you are just existing as opposed to living your Christian life intentionally and actually being Christian by doing and not just hearing the word of God.
All of the terrible things to come upon this earth that is yet to come will come hard and fast if we don't wake up.
Those who are not ready cannot raise the standard when calamity is upon them. If you are not serious about the Gospel now you will not be serious in the time of trouble. Or when your faith is being tested because of some new law that is prejudice against Sabbath keepers. We need to be ready with Christ now. Others are constantly looking to the news to find out when they should start being ready. Watching the movements of the pope across Europe waiting for him to make more movements to this Sunday law. People across the world are panicking about climate change, COVID-19 AND ECONOMIC wars, collapse of financial institutes. Countries are going bankrupt in EUROPE AND COVID-19 is causing havoc with Business, education, with unprecedented closures of churches globally for over 6 months in 2020.
Everyone seems to need a bailout these days. Terrorists are driving governments to work together whilst causing enough disruption to peoples lives that new laws are being passed at parliament and congress to give greater access to our privacy and reduce our freedoms.
In these last days when we should be taking the 3 angels message to the world and engaging in major and local outreach. The church is caught up in debating safety concerns of catching the pestilence and online church is the only ministry happening. It would seem like the majority are still rejecting the word of God, both overtly and covertly, yet you can't lie to God, he can see the luke warmness.
Had Adventists after the great disappointment in 1844 held fast their faith and followed on unitedly in the opening providence of God, receiving the message of the third angel and in the power of the Holy Spirit proclaiming it to the world, they would have seen the salvation of God, the Lord would have wrought mightily with their efforts, the work would have been
completed, and Christ would have come ere this to receive His people to their reward.... It was not the will of God that the coming of Christ should be thus delayed....
For forty years did unbelief, murmuring, and rebellion shut out ancient Israel from the land of Canaan. The same sins have delayed the entrance of modern Israel into the heavenly Canaan. In neither case were the promises of God at fault. It is the unbelief, the worldliness, unconsecration, and strife among the Lord’s professed people that have kept us in this world of sin and sorrow so many years Evangelism, 695, 696 (1883).
The Call is to WAKE up is bellowing from the Word of God.. All that God said will happen before he comes back shall happen and it shall happen quickly. We have no time to be thinking about ourselves, our career ambitions, our need to enlarge our financial territory. God will sort out our needs. You just need to be faithful in the jobs you are doing now and push forward with your foundational relationship with Jesus Christ. Develop your knowledge of God, The saving Relationship with Jesus Christ and the amazing revelations of last day events. Understand that we ought to be about our Fathers business!
Christ wants us to learn how to pray, wait and trust him. He wants us to put a magnifying glass over every area of our lives and confess our sins, repent and be free to spread the Gospel believing that we are saved.
Think about it. John 3:16 and John 15 combined is our biggest gift.
If you believe Christ when he says that he will forgive all your sins then believe that you are saved not to go back to a life of sin but saved to live right be fore God and share the gospel. This is what it means to watch and pray.
If you desire with all your heart to fully follow Jesus and Fully Trust him Stand to your feet in a new commitment to the Gospel. Stand out and be counted in the books of heaven as a Child of God who is ready to follow the Gospel Commission.
