Oxford SDA Sabbath Service 7th November 2026

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
1 Peter 4 vs 7 - 20 (AKJV)

Announcements
Prayer Ministries: Our Tuesday, Mid-week prayer and bible study sessions take place in-person at the Church and on Zoom. Please invite friends, and neighbours, as we stand in the gap, seeking the Lord in Prayer and bible study. We would also like to remind the church community (those who are willing and able) that we will be fasting and praying every other Tuesday of the week in our respective homes. Testimonies and breakthroughs will be shared when we meet for prayer at 7pm at Oxford Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The Church Choir: The music department is inviting new members to join the Church Choir. If you are interested, please see Bro. Kofi or Sis. Nicole for more information.
The Children's Choir: The Children's Choir is still recruiting new members. All those interested in having their Children join, please reach out to Sis. Monique White.
Prison Ministries: Our Prison ministries team is inviting volunteers to join the team. Ministry visits are normally arranged for the 3rd week of each month. If you need induction, please contact Sis. Patience (Oxford) to register (or Elder Barrett - Banbury). Please pray for this ministry as it grows from strength to strength.
Community Services Department:
The Community Services Department would like to thank the church for its support of Gatehouse, including the food hampers given throughout the year. Gatehouse recently sent a newsletter, thanking Oxford SDA Church for its part in serving people experiencing homelessness, and we are glad to share that thanks with you.
The Community services team is inviting all who are willing to join home visits and prayers, to get in touch with the team or with the Elder on duty for the week.
The tickets for our Year-End Thanksgiving Banquet are now available. You can purchase your tickets via this link . When purchasing your tickets, you will see a box adding 17%. Feel free to change it to zero. Any queries, please contact Alan, Monique or Vivienne from the social department team. This is a very special occasion not to be missed! Lesson 06: The Prophetic Writings
Memory Text:"For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope" (Romans 15:4, NKJV).
The Bible describes three major ways that prophets communicated God's messages: (1) orally; (2) through writing; and (3) through symbolic actions or dramatizations. This week we will focus on the writings in the Scriptures. The Bible records the Word of God, as expressed through the words of His messengers, including sermons and speeches of the prophets.
