Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Philippians 3 vs 2-8 (KJV)

Prayer Ministries:
Our Tuesday, Mid-week prayer and bible study sessions take place in-person at the Church and on Zoom. Please invite friends, and neighbours, as we stand in the gap, seeking the Lord in Prayer and bible study. We would also like to remind the church community (those who are willing and able) that we will be fasting and praying every other Tuesday of the week in our respective homes. Testimonies and breakthroughs will be shared when we meet for prayer at 7pm at Oxford Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The Prayer Team has organised a Week of Prayer titled, “United in Prayer”,
running from Sunday 17 May to Friday 23 May, from 7:00–8:30pm each
evening online. Please note: Tuesday’s session will be hybrid, taking
place both online and at the church. This special week focuses on praying
for the Holy Spirit and evangelism. Keynote speakers include Ps Liburd, Ps
Maurede, and others (see flyer for details). Please share this invitation
with friends and family.

Lesson 7: Practical Prayer
Memory Text: “Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us” (Psalm 62:8, NKJV).
Prayer is the constant connection between us (the branches) and Jesus (the Vine). “If we would grow and flourish, we must continually draw sap and nourishment from the Living Vine; for separated from the Vine we have no strength.”--Ellen G. White, Early Writings, p. 73. This is the blessing of abiding prayer. God hears us, and He always answers in His time and in His perfect way--though not always in the way we might expect.
