Area 5 Day of Fellowship Sabbath Service 30th May 2026


This Sabbath, 30th May, 2026, is our Area 5 day of Fellowship taking place at Newbold College. The Oxford Church will remain open and proceedings from Newbold will be beamed live.



Announcements

  1. Prayer Ministries:

    1. Our Tuesday, Mid-week prayer and bible study sessions take place in-person at the Church and on Zoom. Please invite friends, and neighbours, as we stand in the gap, seeking the Lord in Prayer and bible study. We would also like to remind the church community (those who are willing and able) that we will be fasting and praying every other Tuesday of the week in our respective homes. Testimonies and breakthroughs will be shared when we meet for prayer at 7pm at Oxford Seventh-day Adventist Church.


  2. The Church Choir: The music department is inviting new members to join the Church Choir. If you are interested, please see Bro. Kofi or Sis. Nicole for more information.

  3. The Children's Choir: Sis. Linda is recruiting new members to join the Children's Choir. All those who are interested in having their Children join, please reach out to her.

  4. The Community Service, Pathfinders, and Teens & Junior Choir departments are

    planning two upcoming initiatives:

    1. Nursing Home Outreach — Pathfinders and the Oxford Jnr choir are planning a joint visit to Brookfield nursing home outreach on 30th May, at 2:30 pm. Pray for the children as they prepare. Do reach out to Sis Tumpale; Sis Linda; Auntie Patience & Elder Christopher Streete.

    2. Children’s Fun Day — A celebration after exams featuring a jumping castle,

      sales stalls, cakes, fresh juices, and smoothies. All funds raised will be

      donated to a charity chosen by the children. More information will be shared soon. Please look out for further details from Sis .Patience


  5. Our Prison ministries team are planning their next visitation to HunterCombe Prison. If you wish to volunteer to join and participate, please note that the visits will be taking place on the 3rd week of each month. If you need induction, please contact Sis. Patience (Oxford) to register (or Elder Barrett - Banbury). Please pray for this ministry as it grows from strength to strength.

  6. The Headington Festival 2026 is scheduled for this weekend, 30th and 31st May at the Bury Knowles Park. We'll take the opportunity to have our annual grand literature distribution and health expo at the festival. Our Personal Ministries team encourage and welcome all to participate in the event. Please pray for success in our evangelistic efforts at the event. See flyer for details.

  7. Pastor Tim conducts Baptismal classes for anyone who would like to be baptised or would like to participate in the studies. Please contact one of the elders or Pastor Tim on 07971186530 if you would like to take part.

  8. Please pray for and support the SEC Prison Ministries outreach to Ghana in October. Our Auntie Cynthia from Wantage will be travelling. See flyer for details.

  9. On 27th June, 2026, there will be an event for Singles, Unmarried, Divorced and Widowed, being led by Pastor Rio Espulgar. For more details see Bro Philip M.


  10. SEC, BUC and other external announcements:

    1. The BUC is appealing for donations for save UK Adventist schools. Please see the video below:

    3. The SEC Personal Ministries Department are very pleased to share a newly launched evangelism project designed to inspire and equip our members for mission. The project is titled, Evangelism-One-On-One. This 40-part video discipleship journey is designed to move members from witnessing fearfully to witnessing faithfully. These short, powerful lessons will be released weekly, and are ideal for small group study, personal growth, or outreach preparation.
